AMDP Investment Proposal (DRAFT)
TO: Clark Hansen, CEO
FROM: Morgan Novak, Research & Development
DATE: October 17, 2022
SUBJECT: Recommendation to Invest in Reformation.
As part of the Research and Development team here at Anima Mundi Development Partners, it is my job to find profitable, sustainable, and socially responsible companies for AMDP to invest in. After extensive research, I highly recommend investing in Reformation, a Los Angeles based clothing brand. Meeting the criteria for an AMDP investment, Reformation pushes to create designs that celebrate the feminine figure with the most beautiful and sustainable fabrics possible while simultaneously paying attention to minimizing its social and environmental impacts.
AMDP Standards
Before discussing Reformation, I want to reiterate the standards we keep in mind at AMDP when considering possible investments.
Triple Bottom Line
According to TBL theory, companies should be working simultaneously on these three bottom lines:
Profit: the positive and negative impact an organization has on the local, national and international economy
Planet: the positive and negative impact an organization has on its natural environment
People: the positive and negative impact an organization has on its most important stakeholders
Corporate Social Responsibility
A self-regulating business model that helps a company be socially accountable to itself, its stakeholders, and the public.
Social Enterprise
A social enterprise or social business is defined as a business with specific social objectives that serve its primary purpose. Social enterprises seek to maximize profits while maximizing benefits to society and the environment, and the profits are principally used to fund social programs.
Carbon Footprint
A carbon footprint is the total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions caused directly and indirectly by an individual, organization, event or product
